Eligibility
In an essay of 1,000 words or more, applicants are invited to explore and discuss the various
ways in which technology can empower businesses in Idaho, Lewis and Clearwater counties
specifically. Consider the impact of technological solutions on issues such as healthcare,
education, agriculture, connectivity, and overall community development. Share your insights
into how innovative approaches can bridge the gap between rural and urban landscapes,
enhancing the quality of life for our community.

Evaluation Criteria:
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Clarity of Thought and Expression: Articulate your ideas and arguments clearly,
demonstrating a deep understanding of the subject matter.
Creativity and Innovation: Showcase your ability to think outside the box and propose
creative solutions that harness technology for the betterment of rural communities. - Research and Evidence: Support your essay with relevant examples, statistics, and case
studies that illustrate the positive impact of technology in rural areas. - Relevance to Rural Challenges: Ensure your essay addresses the specific challenges
faced by Idaho, Lewis and Clearwater County communities and how technology can be a
transformative force in overcoming these obstacles. - Impact and Feasibility: Discuss the potential real-world impact of the proposed
technological solutions and consider their feasibility in the context of rural
environments.
Evaluation Criteria:
AWARD:
The selected essay will be awarded a scholarship of up to $1,000 in scholarship to one or
multiple submissions, which can be applied toward the winner’s higher education expenses or
IT certifications. Applicants may also be eligible for a paid summer internship program with
ClearConnect based in our Cottonwood, Idaho office.
Application Deadline:
All essays must be submitted by March 31 st , 2024. All submissions should be emailed to
